William studied medicine with his father and succeeded him in its practice in Hollis; he was a man of great energy and lived to be 92 years old, and was the last survivor of the 1,200 men whose names are found on the rolls of the 1st Continental N. H. Regiment: he died Oct. 10, 1857.
