  From Neil Hall, https://worldconnect.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=neil53hall&id=I7157 Lived between Nathaniel and Joseph Hall and William Hersey in Harpswell, 1790 census Maine. Purchased land jointly with Isaac Hall in 1747. __________ He may have served on the Connecticut Inspection and Safety Committee during the American Revolution. Sebascodegon Island now called Great Island, lies close to Harpswell, Maine and Brunswick, Maine and is now connected to the mainland by a bridge. __________________ Purchased land from John Watts, 1746-49 Vol 26, p 237 and from Wentworth, p 309. It appears that the main purchase was from John Watts, and the second deed from Wentworth, et al, was made to clear up the title. See the Isaac Hall records for a transcription of the first deed. Know Ye that we the above named do according to our respective shares and Interests for & in consideration of the sum of five shillings lawful money of New England to us in hand & before the Executing & delivery of these presents well & truly paid by Ebenezer Toothacre of an Island called SebascoDegin in Casco Bay yeoman & for other valuable causes and considerations us thereunto moving have given granted released & confirmed & by these presents do fully & freely give grant release & confirm to said Eben'r Toothacre one hundred acres of land situtate and lying & being upon the Island commonly called or known by the name of the Island Sebasco Degin in Casco Bay in the county of York aforesaid in the northerly part of said Island A hundred acres of land is butted & bounded as follows Vis. fifteen degrees west one hundred and sixty rods there bordering upon land granted to Isaac Hall then running the same course twenty rods then running east one hundred twentythree rods then running north forty five rods to the shore & is bounded Easterly and northerly by the salt water until it comes to the aforesaid Pine Tree first mentioned as surveyed by James Scales according to the plan thereof returned our clerk's office To Have and To Hold these one hundred acres of land with all and singular the privileges and appurtenances there to belonging or in any wise appertaining unto him the said Eben'r Toothacre his heirs and assigns forever & we do hereby Covenant and agree to warranty Defend to ye said Eben'r Toothacre his heirs and assigns from us and each of us and our heirs and from all & every person holding by from or under us or any of us.
