  From FindaGrave: Philip was the son of George Edward Bryant of Freedom, Waldo County, Maine and Sarah B. Hall of Freedom, Waldo County, Maine. George was married twice. Sarah and George were married on 01 May 1881 in Montville, Waldo County, Maine. Sarah and George had four children. They were: Samuel Alfred Bryant was born on 18 December 1882; Bertha Bryant was born on 09 March 1885; Philip Judson Bryant was born on 08 September 1888; and Albert Hall Bryant was born on 04 October 1891. All the children were born in Knox, Waldo County, Maine. George married Katrina E. Harding on 28 August 1901. Katrina and George had one child. Harding P. Bryant was born on 18 July 1906 in Pittsfield, Somerset County, Maine. George was the founder of G.E. Bryant & Sons and Co-founder of the Freedom Lumber Company.
