*Is this "Anthony" the son of Anthony Coombs 1661-1728? (aka Antoine Comeau??) & Dorcas Woodin Coombs 1671-1728 ?
Anthony was baptized April 1695 at the
Congregational Church in Wenham, MA;
he grew up in Rochester, MA;
then moved to Gloucester, MA by 1722;
married 21 Oct 1722, Mercy (Marssah) Hodgkins by Rev. John White in Gloucester, MA.
Mercy was the tenth child of Samuel and Hannah (Hodgkins). Samuel Hodgkins and wife first appeared in Gloucester in 1684. In 1694, Samuel was appointed to keep the ferry at Trynall Cove where he had a house. Samuel Hodgkins was a shoemaker.
The only story of Anthony's death I was able to find mentioned that he may have been killed in an "Indian Uprising"
