    • Progressive Men of Minnesota.
      Obituary states that he lived in New Hampshire until 1847, when he moved to Montpelier, VT, where he resided until 1865. He and his wife then moved to Plainview, MN. Then to Winona in 1867.

      Obituary mentions that he was a second cousin to George Bancroft, the Historian. Bancroft, also born in 1800 lived until 1890.
