    • He was the son of Sir John Leslie, 1st Bt. and Lady Constance Wilhelmina Frances Dawson-Damer.

      He fought in the Egyptian Campaign in 1882. He fought in the Lieutenant, Grenadier Guards. He fought in the Boer War in 1900. He held the office of High Sheriff of County Monaghan in 1905. He gained the rank of Temporary Lieutenant-Colonel in 1915 in the 12th Reserve Battalion, Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers. He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Leslie, of Glaslough, co. Monaghan [U.K., 1876] on 23 January 1916. He gained the rank of Colonel in the 5th Battalion, Royal Irish Fusiliers. He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1919.
