- Evelyn H. Renschler "Momma D" Jones, 88, of Madison, died Monday, April 23, 2007, at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
She was born April 16, 1919, in Scott County, the daughter of Clarence Charles and Katherine Hall Renschler. She retired after 15 years of service in the drapery department of P.N. Hirsch & Co. in Madison. She was a member of the Sharon Hill Presbyterian Church. She was a homemaker, wife and mother. She loved quilting, gardening and raising flowers.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence R. Jones of Madison, whom she married May 20, 1939; four daughters, Judy Setelin of Phoenix, Ariz., Lois Armstrong of Youngstown, Ariz., Connie Smith of Hanover and Rhonda Smith of Madison; two sons, Larry Jones and Kenny Jones, both of Madison; two sisters, Betty Line of Columbus and Erma Gosnell of Richmond; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. until the service.
