      Mary Furbish-Abt 1714-23 May 1759

Dorothy was captured by Indians and taken away but returned by her captures because she had a nasty dispossion and had red hair. The indians thought it bad luck to kill a red haired woman so they returned her to her family.

She had children after 1699 and in the book, "Old Kittery and Her Families" (page 438), it states she was the administrator of Daniel's will in 1745 (she would have been 77 yrs). Therefore, she must have died sometime after 1745. Thank you.
