  From FindaGrave: Elizabeth Chard was born about 1587 in Thorncombe, Dorset, Canterbury, England. She married Aaron Cooke, and was mother of AARON COOKE, Jr. She married (2) Thomas Ford, 19 Jul 1615, in Bridport, Dorset, England, as his 1st wife. There were five children of this 2nd marriage: Joanna CLAP, Abigail Strong, Thomas, Hepzibah LYMAN Marsh, & Hannah. The basic research on the English records for Thomas Ford was published by Jacobus and Torrey in 1939. In this article are some records for a Thomas Ford of Powerstock, Dorsetshire, which may or may not be relevant to our Thomas Ford.
