  Father: John Eddy 1597-1684 Mother: Amy Doggett Eddy Spouse: Thomas Horton 1596-1687 Married: 1648 Spouse: Robert Richard Ashley 1620-1682 ---- *MARY, 3rd known child of John & Amy (Doggett) Eddy, was baptized at Nayland 10 March 1625/6. She married by 1648 Thomas Orton (eldest child b. Charlestown 27 August 1648). Source: Anderson's Great Migration Begins. --- Mary Ashley (55403107) Suggested edit: Eddy has never been proven to be her maiden name. Her parents were not John Eddy and Amy Doggett, who, with their daughter Mary, came to the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Our Mary came with the husband she married in England, Thomas Horton/Orton, on the Mary & John, along with their first child, Mary Horton and Thomas' brother Jeremiah. This was derived from the daughter of John and Amy Doggett Eddy, who came to the Massachusetts Bay Colony with a daughter Mary. But our Mary was already married and had a child by Thomas Horton, whom she had married in England, when she arrived in the colonies.
