  From FindaGrave: Richard was the son of Richard Lyman of High Ongar, Essex, England and his wife, Sarah Osborne Lyman. He was baptized on Feb. 24, 1616/17 in High Ongar, Essex, England. He migrated with his parents from Bristol, England to Roxbury, Massachusetts in 1631. He married Hepzibah Ford in 1640 in Windsor, Hartford Co., Connecticut. The couple had 8 children: Hepzibah, Sarah, Richard in 1647, Thomas, Eliza, John, Joanna in 1658 and Hannah in 1660. His wife took a second husband, John Marsh, after Richard's death.
