Certificate # 1225 Dated 8-15-1838 John Hall Jr. of Jefferson Co., Indiana purchased 40 acres: NW 1/4 of SW 1/4 of section 26 in Township 5 N of range 11 E in the district of Lands subject to sale Jeffersonville, Indiana containing 40 acres. Signed by Martin Van Burren president.  (This information is not confirmed as being my John Hall. Indications are that this John Hall Jr. belongs to the Hall family coming out of Kentucky. George was married to John's oldest daughter Mary Jane. George and Mary only had one child a daughter named Nancy J. Gaddis. Nancy b. 1-16-1859 passed away before she turned 5 months old (6-12-1859). Was there a sickness spreading thur the community that may have caused these family members to pass away so close to each other?
