- ALANSON ST. JOHN HALL
North Providence. ALANSON ST. JOHN HALL, 76, of High Service Avenue, a self-employed land surveyor for 50 years before retiring in 1990, died yesterday at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. He was the husband of Ellen (Fitzgibbons) Hall.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Willard Brayton Hall and Stella (Gerber) Hall, he moved to North Providence 60 years ago. Mr. Hall was a 1942 graduate of Brown University. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and served in the Pacific Theater. He received the Air Medal for meritorious service. He was a former member of Keegan-Dinagen Post 1023, VFW. He was a member of North Providence's first Green Acres Commission. He was a former vestryman and senior warden of St. James Episcopal Church. He was a former committeeman and treasurer of Cub Scout Pack 76, Providence, and a former member of Chepachet Grange 38.
Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Merrill Sepulveda of Wapato, Wash.; three sons, Alanson St. John Hall Jr. of Ewing Township, N.J., James Brayton Hall of North Providence, and Klebert Leighton Hall of Providence; a brother, Samuel G. Hall of Plymouth, N.H.; a sister, Lois Rodi of Sao Paulo, Brazil; and two grandchildren. He was a brother of the late Edith Meier, Robert M. and Clarence L. Hall.
A memorial service will be held at a date and time to be announced.

- ALANSON ST. JOHN HALL
NORTH PROVIDENCE. ALANSON ST. JOHN HALL, 76, of High Service Avenue, a self-employed land surveyor for more than 50 years, retiring in 1990, died May 17 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. He was the husband of Ellen (Fitzgibbon) Hall.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Willard Brayton and Stella (Gerber) Hall, he lived in North Providence for 60 years.
Mr. Hall graduated from Brown University in 1942 with a bachelor's degree in economics. A Navy veteran of World War II, he became squadron commander of Naval Reserve VS-911 of Weymouth, Mass., after the war.
Active in civic affairs, he was a member of the first Green Acres Commission in North Providence.
He was a former member of Keegan-Dinagen Post 1023, VFW. He was a former committeeman and treasurer of Cub Scout Pack 76, Providence, and a former member of Chepachet Grange 38. He was a former vestryman and senior warden at St. James Episcopal Church.

A memorial service will be held tomorrow at 1 p.m. in St. James Episcopal Church, 474 Fruit Hill Ave. Burial will take place Monday at 11 a.m. in Acotes Hill Cemetery, Glocester.
