  	William Patrick Hall died May 12, 2003, in Concord, Calif. He was born June 15, 1947, in Whittier, Calif., to Harvey Franklin Hall and Dorothy Hickman Hall. He graduated from Helena High School, class of 1965, and attended the University of Montana, Missoula. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. His lifelong career was in banking. He lived and worked in Seattle, Phoenix and the San Francisco Bay area. Survivors include his mother, Dorothy (Michael R.) Hendrickson of Kent, Wash.; brother Michael (Diana) Hall of Helena; sisters Norma (George) Perrins, Kent, and Morreen (N. Michael) Hansen, Mercer Island, Wash; his two children, Lydia and Stephen Hall; nieces and nephews including Jordan Hall, Corena Fredrick, Lynnette Hall, Angie Hornby, Howard Schmith, all of the Helena area; and numerous great-nieces and -nephews. Cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering for family and friends is planned for the summer.

  From Morreen Hansen, Oct. 2017: William Patrick Hall, b 15 Jun 1947, Whittier, Los Angeles, CA, married 10 Jan 1969, Colusa, Colusa, CA, to Robin Gail Meyer b 1953; divorced 19 Mar 1976; Pat died 12 May 2003, Concord, Contra Costa, CA This death hit us hard, I have not yet put together a genealogy for Pat. I think my brother Mike has all his papers. I know Pat served in the Air Force during Vietnam, he worked on computers. When he left the Air Force he went to work for a major bank in California and helped to set up the first banking computer network. Mike tells me Pat's work was really important, that he was a computer pioneer and was instrumental in creating those early networks. Pat was a true computer nerd, stayed at the office for days, often sleeping under his desk. He neglected his health and became diabetic. When Pat was not working on computers, he read extensively, especially philosophy and history. He enjoyed classical music and played string instruments. Although he was the youngest of us all, he was the first to die. His wife took the children and returned to her parents' home, a large ranch in central California. Children: Stephen Christopher Hall; Lydia Jennifer Hall We have lost contact with Stephen and Lydia, but the last I heard from them, Stephen was not married, Lydia married someone named Davis, first name unknown. Pat's wife hated rainy Seattle, they lived here only briefly. The two children have always lived in California, Pat lived in California and Arizona.
