      Mr. and Mrs. John Walker

      Mr. and Mrs. John Walker, Vincennes, former residents of Madison, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at a reception Sunday from 2 until 4 p.m. at Clifty Inn.
      Hostesses for the affair will be the couple's daughters, Mrs. Dilver Hall, Darien, Ill. and Mrs. Donald Hall, Hinsdale, Ill.
      Mrs. Walker is the sister of Mrs. Mabel Feider and Mrs. Nellie Robbins, both of Madison, and Mrs. Margaret Wells, Dayton, Ohio. Mr. Walker is the brother of Leonard Walker, route one, and Mrs. Elizabeth Clarkson, St. Matthews, Ky. The couple has three grandchildren.

      All friends and relatives are invited to attend the reception. It is asked that there be no gifts.

      She was born in Madison, the daughter of George and Anna Rachel Mott Knoebel.  She was a homemaker, and a former employee of G.C. Murphy Co., in Madison. She was a member of Hanover Presbyterian Church and of Lumen Christi Presbyterian Church in Naperville, Ill. She was a former member of the Rebekah Lodge in Madison.
      Surviving are two daughters, Lois Hall of Darien, Ill. and Helen Hall of Burr Ridge, Ill.; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
      She was proceeded in death by her parents; her husband, John Walker, on February 15, 1990; one son, John Walker; two daughters, Naomi and Miriam Walker; four brothers and five sisters.

      JEAN WALKER
      Jean Florence Walker, 90, of Westmont, Ill., formerly of Hanover, died Friday, June 6, at Burgess Square Health Center in Westmont.
      She was born on Dec. 13, 1906, in Madison, the daughter of George and Anna Rachel Mott Knoebel. She was a homemaker, and a former employee of G.C. Murphy Co. in Madison. She was a member of Hanover Presbyterian Church and of Lumen Christi Presbyterian Church in Naperville, Ill. She was a former member of the of the Rebekah Lodge in Madison.
      Surviving are two daughters, Lois Hall of Darien, Ill., and Helen Hall of Burr Ridge, Ill.; three grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
      She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Walker, on Feb. 15, 1990; one son, John Walker; two daughters, Naomi and Miriam Walker; four brothers and five sisters.
      Services will be at Hanover Presbyterian Church, with burial in Springdale Cemetery.
      Friends may call from 11 a.m. Thursday until time of the service at the church.
      Vail-Holt Funeral Hone Hanover Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
