    • Gladys owned a set of World Book Encyclopedia's printed in 1923. On the inside front and back covers she wrote "important" family information.

      The following is what she wrote about her wedding day.

      Gladys A. Gray > Walter G. Hall
      were married May 5th 1927. Rachel P. Gray and Eston C. Fresh stood up with us. This was Thursday and it was a rainy day. A big Chivaree was that night. Gladys was dressed in Blue Flat Crepe trimmed in grey, grey slippers and hose. Blue coat trimmed in grey fur and blue hat. Walter was dressed in Blue serge and had a grey hat. Rachel was dressed in pink flat cape trimmed in tan, tan hose and black patent slippers trimmed in tan. Tan hat and wore Mabel's grey coat. Eston had a blue shirt.

      May 7th 1927, on Saturday night a shower was given at the home of Mr. & Mrs. David Gray. There was a large crowd there. Ice cream & cake were served.
      There were about 150 people present there at the shower. It was a nice night but in the night was a large storm & rain.

      According to Walter and Gladys' family bible their marriage accured at the Kent Parsonage and the services were preformed by Charles C. Brown.
      Gladys also writes: Moved from farm to Honover Dec. 23rd. 1970.

      At age 35 no more children. 3 yrs. after W.W. (Walter Wayne) was born. Helen believes she is indicating when she went thru menapose.

      Mrs. Gladys Hall
      Mrs. Gladys G. Hall, 79, Hanover, died at 11:10 p.m. Saturday at King's Daughters' Hospital.
      She was a native of Jefferson County. she was a member of Liberty Methodist church and the Hanover Senior Citizens.
      She is survived by three sons: Dilver, Darien, Ill. Donald, Hinsdale, Ill and Walter, Columbus; three sisters" Mrs. Mable Morgan, Indianapolis; Miss Mildred Gray and Mrs. Rachel Fresh, both of Jeffersonville; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
      She was proceeded in death by her husband, Walter, in 1972.
      Services will be at 1 p.m. tomorrow at the Vail-Holt-Barnes Funeral Home, Hanover, with burial in Liberty Cemetery.
      Friends may call at the funeral home form 3 to 9 today and tomorrow form 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

      Hanover-Mrs. Gladys G. Hall, 79, died Saturday at King's Daughters Hospital in Madison.
      She was a member of Liberty Methodist Church.
      Survivors include three sons, Dilver Hall of Darien, Ill., Donald Hall of Hinsdale, Ill. and Walter W. Hall of Columbus; three sisters, Mrs. Mable Margan of Indianapolis, Miss Mildred Gray and Mrs. Rachel Fresh, both of Jeffersonville; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
      The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Vail-Holt-Barnes Funeral Home, with burial in Liberty Cemetery.
      Visitation at the funeral home will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday.

      Mrs. Gladys G. Hall, age 79, Hanover, passed away at 11:10 p.m. Saturday, May 8, 1982 at the Kings's Daughter's Hospital.
      Born February 15, 1903 in Jefferson County, Indiana, she was the daughter of David and Lottie (Prentiss) Gray, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter G. Hall in 1972.
      Mrs. Hall was a member of the Liberty Methodist Church and the Hanover Senior Citizens.
