  • Notes
    • From FindaGrave:

The History of Paris, Page 614 reports that Joseph was a "theology student at Bangor" Maine.

Town of Sumner records indicate that Joseph & Peggy married in Sumner on 29 Jul 1821.

Town of Buckfield staff report that Joseph was the pastor of the "Free Baptist Church of Buckfield" which met in the schoolhouse.

The 3-year-old male Shirley Howard Pulsifer (15 Jun 1876 - 28 Dec 1951) that appears with Joseph in the 1880 census was the son of Joseph's granddaughter, Ada E. (Hall) Pulsifer.
