Vera Evelyn Clark Richards, 91, formerly of Camden, died April 19, 2010, at Glenridge Rehabilitation Center in Augusta, where she had resided for several years.
Born in Camden July 18, 1918, she was a daughter of Harry Adelbert and Bessie Amelia (Hall) Clark and was a graduate of Camden High School.
She married Lawrence Ira Richards in Camden March 17, 1940.
Mrs. Richards had worked at Tibbetts Industries in Camden and for many years worked for Billy (Walter) and Irene Wolf of Rockport as a housekeeper and cook.
Mrs. Richards was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Glen Cove.
She is survived by a sister, Natalie Parker, of North Berwick; three children, Donald Richards and his wife, Gail, of Rockport, Frank Richards of Randolph and Constance Dickey and her husband, Lester, of Utah; 15 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence I. Richards, who died in 2004; and two sisters, Lillian Shaw and Elsie Stewart.
A private graveside service will be held in the Lassell Cemetery in Searsmont. (Republican Journal April 26, 2010)
