      Barnabas C. Hall of Dennis, a former Montana ranch owner, died at his home on Main street on Thursday. Sept. 14. after several weeks' illness, at the age of 7 I years. Mr Hall was the son of Mr and Mrs Freeman G. Hall of Dennis.

      When 21 years old. Mr Hall went to his uncle's ranch in Custer County, Montana, where he took up and developed a homestead claim and raised cattle. At the age of 34 he married Miss Sophia Raynor of Dennis and she went to Montana with him. He lived there until he retired in 1913 and returned to Dennis, the town where he was born.

      He is survived by his widow and three brothers. Benjamin F. Hall and Stephen S. Hall, both of Dennis, and Francis T. Hall of Brookline.

      Funeral services were held at his home in Dennis, the Rev Arthur W. Bailey of East Dennis, former pastor of the Congregational church in Winsted, Conn., officiating. Pallbearers were Messrs C. L. Goodspeed, Gerard Chapman, Frank Ellsworth Howes, and Frank Briggs Howes. Burial was in Dennis cemetery.
