  • Notes
    • From FindaGrave:

While sitting in a chair at her home on Eighth street and Third avenue yesterday afternoon, Mrs. Hulda Swain was stricken with heart failure, causing instant death. Coming as it did, without a moment's warning her death was a great shock to her family and friends. She was 84 years of age and had resided in Rock Island for 30 years, having moved here from Edgington township. She is survived by five daughters and two sons: Mrs. Sarah Paul, Cape May; Mrs. Julia Davis, New York City; Thomas, Chicago; Lawrence and Mrs. Carrie Hall, Minneapolis, and Misses Nina and Eva, of this city. The husband and two sons preceded the wife and mother to the grave several years ago.
