      DAR: Private Nathan Hamilton served along with his son, Private Elisha Hamilton, in the MA Militia during the American Revolution with Captain Asa Danforth.

      His grave marker has Nathan Hamilton listed as a Lieutenant (French-Indian War or American Revolution). There are documents showing that Nathan Hamilton served in both wars.

      He also helped found the New Braintree Church in 1794.
