  From FindaGrave: The first record of John Tomson in New England appears to be the 1643 list of men able to bear arms for Plymouth. John was a lieutenant. John was fined for incontinency with wife before marriage, which indicates their first child was born too soon after marriage. John married Mary Cooke on December 26, 1645 at Plymouth, Plymouth Colony.They had children: Adam born before 26 Sep 1646 he died about 1648 John born about 1648 he died 11 Feb 1648/49 John born 24 Nov 1649 Mary born about 1651 Esther born 28 Jul 1652 Elizabeth born 28 Jan 1654 Sarah born 4 Apr 1657 Lydia born 5 Oct 1659 Jacob born 24 Apr 1662 Thomas born 19 Oct 1664 Peter birth date unknown he married Sarah Simmons Mercy born about 1671 It is not known where John died.
