Hall, of Marshfield, p. 132 ff
2. JOHN2 HALL (John1) was born in Scituate January 4, 1712/3. He married about 1738 Deborah Tilden who died in Marshfield April 17, 1746, aged thrity-one years, four months, ten days, and is buried in the Marshfield Hills cemetery. His second wife, whom he married in the latter part of 1746, was Zilpha Crooker of Marshfield.
As in the case of his father, no transactions in real estate involving John Hall, either as grantor or grantee, are of record, even when, about 1760, he left his Marshfield home and moved his family to Georgetown, Maine, at the mouth of the Kennebec river. The year of this migration to the eastward, in which may other Plymouth COunty camilies took part, is determined by the record of his last child born in Marshfield (1758) and the first child recorded in Georgetown (1763). An intervening child may have been born in either place. His oldest son, Joseph, and two of the older daughters, all by his first wife, remained in Marshfield.
